is excited, honored, and anxious to be performing for the first time with Traveling Lantern.
Hailing from Milwaukee, WI, where he earned dual degrees in Theatre Arts and Advertising from Marquette University, Phillip
moved to Portland in 2009. Since moving, Phillip has become the Marketing Director and a proud company member of Post5
Theatre and has performed with numerous companies around the city including Willamette Shakespeare, Bag&Baggage, FUSE
Theatre Ensemble, Portland Actors Ensemble and many more.
is very happy to be performing with Traveling Lantern, and in such a beautiful place. Murren
is originally from Seattle but has lately been spending time in Portland studying at Portland Actors Conservatory, where
he just completed his first year. In Seattle, he has performed with Seattle Public Theatre and its associated company the
Bathhouse Ensemble, and in Port Townsend, WA with Key City Public Theatre and Paradise Theatre School, the latter in The
, a verbatim documentary play/musical about the trial of Slobodan Milosevic, where he played his son Marko.
Other favorite roles include Dracula, Ferdinand in The Tempest
, and Oscar in The Little Foxes
. Murren is
also a massage therapist, and would like to thank his girlfriend Jessa and his parents for supporting him.
